Liphook Fair, on the village green.

I watch with anticipation the build up to the fun fair currently assembling on the village green (opposite Sainsbuys) but I wonder if adequate protection has been taken to preserve the grass on the green. It is currently a wonderful example of natures work, but I fear it will not be so after the fair.
One only has to cast their minds back the destruction which was left after the new years events there. Is the council taking any action to preserve the grass on OUR green?
