Gold ring found
- Heather (6th Dec 2010 - 14:16:50)
Some time ago my son found a well worn gold signet ring in London Road. We made enquiries at the time but could not find the owner so I put the ring away and forgot about it until today when I found it again.
The ring has initials on it so it should be easy to identify the rightful owner. If you think it is yours, please contact me via the editor.

Quite a number of years, my father, who was visiting Liphook from Ireland, lost his wedding signet ring. We thought he lost it in the Radford Park area. The initials on the lost ring are W M
As he in now approaching his 90th Birthday it would be wonderful if the ring has finally turned up.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Ellen,
Sorry to say that the initials on the ring are not WM .....I am disappointed as it would be lovely to be able to reunite your father with his ring.
There are three engraved initials and one of them is a W but there is no M. Nevertheless do check with your father that he is certain about the lettering on his ring and get back to me if there is any change.

Thank you for your reply. It is disappointing as it would have been a nice surprise for my Father.
I doubled checked with my Mum and she says the initials were WM Thanks again :(

Heather
What a pity it wasn't Ellen's father's ring - that would have been a wonderful story! ... But have you contacted the police to see if the ring has been reported missing - even if some time ago?
