Car accident Headley Road - Friday evening - Natalie Green (4th Nov 2017 - 08:52:07)
I didn't see it happen but there was a pretty bad car accident on the Headley Road last night. By the zebra crossing with a car over turned on it's roof. Does anyone know what happened? I understand nobody was hurt. Which is a miracle given that one car was on it's roof. I have heard that the driver of the navy car on it's roof was driving too fast & potentially drunk, then ran off after being helped out of the car? If this is the case I hope the police found the scumbag. Someone could have been seriously hurt.

these cars must have been there all day, as my husband saw them when he was on his way home on Friday morning, about 10am

Please - the roof of the car, it's possessive (meaning it is possessive). There is no apostrophe in " its roof ". You wouldn't put an apostrophe in " his shirt " would you ?
There is only an apostrophe in its when you mean it is.
I know this is off-topic but you put it in three times - and that's painful to those of us that care.

Sorry just been informed the car was actually on its side.

Apostrophe fan, not only off topic but inappropriate considering the seriousness of the original post. Lessons in time and place as important as grammar I would suggest

these are the facts
We were waiting to turn right into our drive two cars coming the first one passed the second one crossed the white line and smashed into our brand new Volvo. He turned his Skoda on its side. He was helped out by a young man. He told the man he needed the toilet and left. He has been found by the police. No one was hurt.
Skoda drivers error.
A very big thank you to all those who helped and supported us. The fire service.
The police for finding the Skoda driver.
