Worth attending one of the public sessions I would think.
Re: Neighbourhood Development Plan - BT (1st Nov 2017 - 08:19:39)
I find this post confusing as the "Official" post does not mention that there is an opportunity to view and/or participate during daylight hours. If the plans are there to view - and maybe also have a chat with someone - during the 9am to 4pm slot - It would be helpful for those of us who do not go out after dark for this to be made clear. Many thanks.

Hi. Thanks so much for your interest! There are no “plans to view” at this stage. We are in the early stages of the plan and are gathering views from as wide a cross section of the community as possible.
Today (Wednesday) there are a number of presentations from interested groups within the community. This afternoon there will be group design exercises.
This evening from 6pm-8pm all of this work will be able to be viewed.
Tomorrow (Thursday) Feria, the Design consultancy, will be producing a draft concept plan based on today. We will then be working on and revising it during the day and it will be presented that evening. Further consultation will then take place across the Parish over the coming weeks.
Anyone is welcome to come and listen at any time.

I went along this evening as I was at work during the day and missed the presentations. Unless I have missed something, there doesn't seem to much support for any community based sports facility at all. Lots of talk about more development after planning consent has already been given for 330 houses off the comical roundabout on the Longmoor road.
Surely with all of the new development, there must be something that is being given back to the community? More houses = more families with more children, all of whom need some sort of sports locally to keep them fit, healthy and entertained. I'm happy to be corrected though, please help me out here...

I was at the event this evening and can confirm that at least four presentations on display mentioned sports facilities. There was the opportunity to write comments registering your thoughts on sports facilities which presumably you did. There is an open evening on day 2 tomorrow commencing at 7. 30pm where you will able to look at the presentations again.

As far as I gathered the public meetings are an opportunity for everyone to put forward their views and priorities so they can be included in the plan where possible. It appears to be still early days and there is another meeting tonight and later in the month. I suggest as many people as possible attend to make their opinions known. I have to say there were very few attending yesterday evening bearing in mind the size of the village and the potential importance of the final document.
