BT Scam. Be Aware

As if the receipt of 12 to 15 scam e-mails a day purporting to come from BT were not enough, this morning I received a telephone call from BT (?)
A female Asian voice addressed me by name and informed me that as a long term customer with a regular payment record I could now avail my self of 'BT Unlimited' which would give me six months of free local and national calls.
In order to avail myself of this offer I would need to re-register myself . . . at this point I asked the caller for her telephone number. She rang off.
