I know we have been told that this will be replaced at some time in the future BUT wondering if there are people interested in getting a petition up to restore it??
Realise we are up against bureaucracy BUT maybe all you dog walkers out there??

You need to refer to the Recreation minutes of the Parish Council this will tell you the latest. They are on their website.

This is being discussed at the Parish Council's Recreation Committee meeting on Monday next week...this should lead to some positive news! As usual, anyone is welcome to attend. Link below to agenda.
Perhaps if people feel very passionately about this a fundraiser may be more useful than a petition if you want to speed up the bridges replacement.
Why not find out the cost implications and see if this is feasible? Maybe local businesses could pledge in return for a plaque, maybe the kids from the schools who enjoy the duck race could become involved?
I will pledge money but won't sign a petition.
I do miss the bridge and hope it is replaced with another "pretty one" but funds available to the PC are limited and I am pleased I'm not the one making the decisions about where spending priorities are.

Hi - trying to find Jane, who provided me with info about the Parish Council Meeting last Monday evening???
SO sorry but got whisked into Hospital the weekend before and couldn't make it to the meeting - many apologies I did intend to go!
Could you advise as to what was agreed regarding the bridge please??
Thanks So Much
Diz

I'm here! Yes the bridge was discussed and the committee agreed to proceed with going ahead with an agreement with Hampshire County Council to commission a new bridge. The Parish Council are now applying to East Hampshire District Council to use developers contributions to fund the new bridge. The EHDC meeting to discuss this is later this month.
If you use Facebook updates will be posted on the parish council Facebook page @bramshottliphookpc
It will take a few months to get the new bridge built once funding has been sorted etc but it does mean the wheels are now in motion.
