Litter on Weavers Down

Please may I ask all people who enjoy walking on Weavers Down to pick up litter.

I was on Weavers Down last weekend and somehow there has been fly tipping. Goodness knows how a vehicle managed to actually access the site where they have tipped.

Fly tipping has always been done at the top of Queens Road from memory over many years using the walks there and it is usually building/construction material. I can't see how it can be stopped unless a steel barrier is put before the top of the hill. Regarding the original posting, most litter I have seen is energy drink bottles and cans from Joggers or Bike riders at a guess and most appear after an organised event. The event organisers should be responsible and this may be down to the MOD as they seem to licence access from what I know.

Fly tipping - I have twice reported incidents of fly tipping to EHDC. They have been excellent; contacting me to find exact location and clearing it. Please could you report fly tipping when you see it.
Litter - whoever is responsible, if we all take a bag to clear up the litter that we spot, it will help preserve the beauty of the area and save the wildlife that are potentially at risk from it. Please could you help by taking a rubbish bag to clear up the litter that you spot.

It is the weekend again!
Please may I ask you to take a carrier bag with you to pick up the litter on Weavers Down. Last Sunday, I filled 2 carrier bags. If we all do this, we will help protect the wildlife and the beauty of this area.
