liphook youth club
- kayleigh rigby (14th Sep 2017 - 11:56:22)

**please note this is not about ALL young people**

i am writing this with a very heavy heart...
on monday 11/09/17 i was sick so i wasnt able to attend the youth club, i hoped everyone would have a great time and i would catch up the next week but...i had a very upsetting e-mail from the VOLUNTEERS saying ''The young people were totally on edge and very noisy and there were considerable discipline problems and voices had to be rasied as well to keep order.

At the end of the evening at the debriefing the VOLUNTEERS were very unhappy that they did not have enough VOLUNTEER youth workers to keep order let alone organise activities. They also said they were not very happy as they were not listened to or felt respected by the young people...!

PLEASE remind the young people of what VOLUNTEER means 'doing something for others, without being paid...'

so i as the youth club leader have a 'tricky' situation now as the youth club is 'hanging by a thread' as we need new/more VOLUNTEERS otherwise it will sadly CLOSE down...i will do my BEST to keep it going like i have so far but but i need the help of the community...everyone wants somewhere for the youth of liphook to go but dont seem to be able to spare a few hours on a monday in term time...

so if we dont get any VOLUNTEERS by monday sadly the youth club will not be open... kayleigh
