Ludshott Manor
- Steve Ings (10th Jan 2005 - 09:54:59)

Hi,

Could anyone in the area give me any info on Ludshott Manor. My great aunt and uncle worked ther as servants when it was Woolmer Lodge, as shown in the 1901 census. At that time it was owned by Archibald Macdonald and his wife Constance. I am researching my family tree on my mothers side and would be greatful for any information on Woolmer Lodge/Ludshott Manor

Hi Steve

Not sure if this would help, I'm the project manager currently overseeing the renovation and conversion of Ludshott Manor.
My only suggestion would be to visit the site and talk to David Wynn who is a former owner and still lives in Dairy Cottage next door to the Manor.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for coming back to me with that info. It was much appreciated. I am originally from Farnborough in Hampshire but have lived in Belfast this past 22 years. I do have a sister who still lives in Farnborough and I try to get back to England once or twice a year. The next time I am over I must make a point of visiting Ludshott Manor and hopefully talk to David Wynn. Once again thanks for the info.

Regards

Steve Ings
