Taking Tea with Jane Austen - Karen Feeney (4th Sep 2017 - 11:45:06) Just wanted to let you know about an event we are holding here at The Triangle Centre in Liss on Saturday 23rd September. Hosted by local historian Julia Mayo, 'Taking Tea with Jane Austen' is a celebration of Jane Austen's years in Chawton. Julia will give an illustrated talk about the final chapter of Jane's life, the years when her books were published and her ambition to become an established author. The talk, which starts at 2.30pm, is accompanied by a delicious afternoon tea. Tickets are available now from The Triangle or by telephoning 01730 301000. Tickets are £9 to include afternoon tea.
