Fibre Broadband.

Does anyone have sky fibre broadband in Liphook? We live on the maple park site and we've been told we can't get it. Just wondered, I thought our exchange had been fibred.

Also on Maple Park and its in progress. Out cabinet is opposite the entrance to the station on the corner of Station Road and Newtown Road and the fibre cabinet is now there (has been for a while) however the openreach checker

homeandwork.openreach.co.uk/... still says the following:

We're connecting power to the new fibre cabinet and joining the new fibre lines to the existing copper network.
You can't order a fibre service today but typically it'll be available to your premises within the next four months.

I'm sure it's said that for more than 4 months now... Interestingly it doesn't recognise our phone number since we moved to Sky phone and broadband.

The fibre wont be connected until after the building work has been completed. It was due to be completed by the end of june this year according to the rollout schedule but BT would want the new commercial properties to connect to BT Business rather than normal fibre as they obviously want more money. Its frustrating as everywhere around has fibre optic but cabinet 16! This cabinet covers From Winnipeg close to Edmonton way.

r - That's not strictly true, cabinet 13 (Griggs Green) is not fibre. This has the same status as cabinet 16 and it has been at this status for several years now. I have chased and chased and all they do is push the date out month by month. It's so frustrating and impossible to actually speak to someone to escalate the issue or find out what the real plans are.

In the meantime, I continue to be bombarded by BT and Sky with advertising for their services which require Fibre Broadband that I do not have.
