Planning application coyotes car park
- Anon (2nd Aug 2017 - 14:34:15)

Anyone seen the plans on ehdc site been submitted for yet another 11 town houses and barn conversion to accommodation ? Supposed access through existing public car park on haslemere road! What spaces are left after the entrance is altered being turned into pay and display! Yet another erosion of village facilities and over population of a conservation area! More traffic onto the haslemere road which is already full to capacity. More overuse of already struggling drainage system and other utility services! Each house is allocated 1.6 parking spaces! How does that work then? Especially when most houses are occupied by 2 car families! What next block of flats on the little rec? Thin end of the wedge! Planning application number 56285/001 take a look!

This is an amendment to the original application. They wanted 11 2 bed flats and I objected as this would be a tall building. 2 weeks later I received notification that the application had changed to 11 houses.

I have again objected as 11 houses in such a small plot of land is too many but I think the local council will agree. It's just pending a couple of reports on the impact to the environment and how the pub will keep the noise down.

Again it shows the total lack of intelligence from the planning committee. They are busy agreeing planning on a big scale without upgrading the local infrastructure to cope with the increasing population of a village.

All the time we have different departments with only a small remit we will have this issue of buildings being put up which later cause complete havoc to the local area.

We all agree that we need more housing in the area - people are crying out for accommodation and our youngsters are having to move further and further away as due to the shortage in supply - the prices are going through the roof.

We need a planning system that looks at the WHOLE picture.

Currently, the planning dept can only look at the type of houses. But not the horrific impact they will have on local life.

Regardless of infrastructure (school, GP dentist, sewage etc - if every house is going to have 2 (or more) cars - 100% likely- then they are going to be parked on all the surrounding roads.
