Runaway dog!
- Sally Marriott (18th Jul 2017 - 14:44:27)
To all the very kind people who gave their time and energy trying to catch my runaway dog this afternoon (Tuesday 18th July) - a HUGE thank you! She is home safe and sound, if bedraggled and exhausted. She took fright and ran from a dog she is nervous of while we were walking on Weavers Down soon after midday, and made her way back to the village, then on to Radford Park when she couldn't get in at home. Finally reunited on the Headley Road around 14:10. So many people tried to help, not all of whom I have been able to contact directly, so please know that I am so grateful to all of you - we are lucky to have a very caring and concerned community here!

Sally poor you what a nightmare! What sort of dog was it that your dog is nervous of at Weaver's Down as my dog has run off twice there after a particularly aggressive dog chased him. Would love to know if this dog is still being walked there as I stopped going there several months ago?

Jane - to be fair the dog that my softie is nervous of is not really aggressive, more boisterously playful, but FYI it's a border terrier...

Pod (border terrier of Weavers Down) says he's not guilty...! Has perfect alibi...was asleep in bed at the time, officer.

Let's hope we don't have a case of ruff justice!

A Dalmation ( a known copper's nark) dobbed in Pod after discovering a recumbent pillow under Pod's blanket!
