Can anyone confirm what happened last night? I picked up my daughter and heard the Police Helicopter, then later on heard via other sources lots of stories. My children were petrified.

Gotta love the rumour mill. I heard it was 'meat cleaver'

No doubt as the night went on the story got more outlandish.

I expect by 11pm he was flying a Eurofighter Typhoon, strafing parts of Midhurst Rd.

By the by someone was definitely endangering the relative calm of Liphook and hope no-one got hurt.

I heard that a man stabbed someone in a pub in Petersfield, then drove to Liphook and stabbed someone in a pub in Liphook. He was finally caught in Selborne. I have absolutely no idea whether there is any truth in this, but obviously something was going on!

Sunday morning Kestral Radio reported that someone was arreasted and detained for having a meat cleaver in their possession in the Liphook area. Police cars and Vans were definately present in the Haslemere,Manorfields and New Estate by Sainsburys with the helicopter flying above this area as well. At least the person concerned has been arrested and hopefully nobody came to any harm !!

No one was stabbed in a pub in liphook.

All that happened as far as I know is there was a man wondering around with a weapon of some description and was quickly apprehended

Interesting. You can view basic information on all Surrey's Police Helicopter flights.

It can't have been around for long as it was in Southampton for 19:00!
