Dog walker
- Richard (22nd Jun 2017 - 08:37:10)
So the hot weather is here, and people sleep with the windows open. 610 this morning woken by the person who walks about 4 or 5 dogs at once.
This is not the first time this person has been mentioned on talkback. Their inconsiderate ways continue.
Muzzle them then they won't bark.
Totally selfish

Hot weather, sleeping with windows open; selfish buggers driving on the A3 and waking me up at 5am. Also blasted birds having their dawn chorus even earlier.
Why oh why don't people and nature show consideration to me me me!!!

Sounds like a genuine animal lover, walking the dogs before it gets too hot to do so.

Richard, at least you don`t need an alarm clock. Good on the dog walker walking her dogs at that time - cooler then for the woofers!!!!

For gods sake wish people would stop moaning on here. Good on the dog walker for being considerate to the furbabies that suffer so much in this weather. Don't take any notice of this person. The birds make more noise and I am glad to hear such wildlife in the morning. Dogs are excited to be going out cant help the time of day and why should they be muzzled just for barking here and there. If it was continuous for hours then fair enough.

Well done dog walker. If a human can't walk on a hot pavement why would you expects dog to??? You can choose when you walk - pooches can't.

Don't be silly John. It is very inconsiderate to allow dogs to bark at that time of the morning when you are close to other peoples houses.

I think that the only way is to have a word with the person and suggest they make sure the dogs are only barking inside the house with the windows closed and calmed down before they go out. I do not know how many dogs are there but it is easier when there is only one dog, a large number excite each other!

The man, I know him. He's a First Response Paramedic, he works 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week, finishing at 5.30am and takes his dogs for a walk as soon as he gets home. Those dogs are all highly trained ex rescue dogs and he keeps them because they're too old and otherwise they'd be put down. They don't normally bark but on that particular morning they spotted an elderly person who had fallen into a ditch and alerted my friend who's prompt actions probably saved her life. She's now back home where she cares for her sick husband and 2 old aunts. He says he's saving up to buy an old car so he can drive his dogs to Bramshot to walk them, where he won't disturb anybody anymore. But on £22k a year with a £200k mortgage on his 1 bedroom flat it may take a little while. But on his behalf, sorry he woke you.
