Prayer Initiative
- Vera (30th May 2017 - 19:54:08)
Liphook Methodist Church is hosting a Prayer Initiative this week.
This is part of a global initiative.
London Road, GU30 7AN
Thy Kingdom Come Tuesday 30 May - Friday 2 June
Our contribution to this nationwide prayer initiative will be "Lord teach us to pray."
During the week leading up to Pentecost there will be prayer stations in the Church.
We will be open for prayer and contemplation on the following days,
Tuesday 30th May from 10-12 noon
Wednesday 31st May from 2-4pm
Thursday 1st June from 7-9pm
Friday 2nd June from 2-4pm
Coffee, tea, scones and cake will be served in the foyer during those times.
There will be no charge for this.
Feel free to either walk round the Church and view the displays or to spend longer and sit at each one.
The prayer stations will give insight into prayer and suggestions of ways of helping us to pray.
The aim of this event is to join with the family of God the Father, to pray for the empowering of God the Holy Spirit and to pray that we may become effective witnesses to God the Son, Jesus Christ.
There are activites for the little ones too, so feel free to bring them along.
We hope to reach beyond our own congregation.
Please come and bring a friend or two or more!
Perhaps invite someone who used to come on a Sunday but who we have not seen for a while.
It will be a relaxed event with no pressure or "hard sell."
