Bohunt Children- severe accident avoided
- Dizzie-wh (18th May 2017 - 19:03:33)

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 15.40 I was driving slowly (due to the amount of traffic through the village at that time) and just as I got to the opposite side of the road from LLoyds Chemist a young Bohunt pupil launched himself almost on my bonnet without looking about him at all !!! Terrified myself and my fellow passenger, and I admit I swore and shouted at him, only because of shock as to how close I came to hitting him!! He was one of the younger year pupils (I think) and had fairish hair and glasses. I have contacted Bohunt about the incident BUT of course have no idea of who he was. Please can all parents warn their children that however slow the traffic is they must look before they leap into the road. It is not a pedestrian precinct at that time of day and this total lack of care could so easily have caused him severe injuries. I was on my way to a GP appointment and went back to look for him myself to warn him of the seriousness of his actions BUT nowhere to be seen by then. Again PLEASE warn your children to be aware that even at less than 10 miles an hour a car can do them severe problems when the driver has no warning of them stepping into the road.
I assume he was heading towards the hairdressers or chemist or houses nearby.
