Honey Bees
- Martin (16th May 2017 - 18:37:23)

We appear to have a nest of Honey Bees in our bird box.
Any ideas on how to deal with this.

There was a thread on Talkback in 2014 under Bees - Swarm. May be worth a try.

If you, or maybe a neighbour, know someone who keeps bees, I'm sure, if asked, they would be happy to safely remove them for you.

The Petersfield and District Beekeepers Association (tel: 07531 901767) state on their website that they will collect swarms of bees without charge.

I'm sure they might be able to help or advise you.

We had a huge honey bees nest last weekend we had a beekeeper who lives on our estate and owns bee hives in his garden, he safely removed the nest for us.
He is in the The British beekeepers association.

Honeybees are quite dozy this time of year....
