Price of heating oil - Allan (29th Sep 2010 - 16:04:50) Now the nights are chillier the central heating is required once more. Called round various suppliers for quotes which ranged from 40.3 to 47.75p per lt. Emo at Southampton were the dearest, lowest was good ol' Fernhurst Fuels. I e-mailed the sales manager at Emo (formerly Corral's), and asked him why, as my regular supplier, Emo wanted to charge me so much more than F/ Fuels. He replied, lo and behold that he could supply me at 39.95p per lt. if I cancelled my order with Fernhurst. I didn't take him up on the offer, but it is interesting to note the difference in price they can offer you if they want to. Have any followers of this site had lower quotes than the above?

Re: Price of heating oil - Sean (16th Nov 2010 - 16:44:58) Always worth ringing round to get the best price. Today got quoted from 44.9 to 54.95ppl. Total were the cheapest. Also worth checking the boilerjuice website as they sometimes have the best price especially if someone else from the same area orders at the same time. www.boilerjuice.com Happy hunting...
