Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - Ben (11th Apr 2017 - 08:09:11) Hi all, I've had a leaflet from Hampshire's Roofing & Property Maintenance offering 23% off any roofing work... has anyone used them before and would you recommend them? I'm looking to get my soffit and fascia boards painted. Thanks.

I intend taking them to court ! I had work done on my roof and fascias....I paid cash as John said He would give a bigger discount, he said his roof repairs came with a 10 yr guarantee..... They left when it was dark, I couldn't see the finished job......in the morning, a builder friend looked at the work and was absolutely appalled !!! I took photos, which I am willing to supply to anyone who wants to see them ! I telephoned and left messages for 3 weeks !!!! It was only when I threatened action, did he return my call......he came out and looked, and agreed it was dreadful, and would I please not tell anyone !!! He promised to come back the following TUESDAY to put it right.......I agreed as he seemed apologetic ! He never came back ! Despite me phoning and texting....this was now 2 months ago that he promised to come back ! It rained and my roof leaked badly, in other areas, as he broke tiles while on my roof. The fascias, that he installed, have bucked and there are massive gaps where it does not meet, plus held in place by nails, to stop it falling down !!! It is absolutely dreadful ! £1,250 down the drain !!! I am taking action. If anyone wants to see the photos of Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance's standards....please email me ! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE !

Re: Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - Jackie Bond (10th Aug 2017 - 08:38:23) I came back from holiday on Monday to find 3 guys on my roof taking photos...they came down to say they are from your choice roofing and that I had at least £500 damage to my roof and would I like them to fix it!!! After asking for a business card he went off and produced a scrap of paper with Billy the roofer on and a mobile number. Unmarked white work van.

Re: Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - Penny (10th Aug 2017 - 10:55:36) I applaud Judie Barrington’s courage to post this warning on Liphook Talkback, but at the risk of sounding very hard and uncaring, I have very little sympathy for her. While I am sorry that she has had a bad experience with Hampshire’s Roofing and Property Maintenance she must take some responsibility herself. Anyone asking cash for work must be viewed with suspicion. That in itself is dishonest. I know there is a “black economy” but every individual has a choice whether to support or reject this. The old adage “you get what you pay for” is well worth adhering to.

Re: Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - Tina (28th Sep 2017 - 19:55:51) Hampshire Roofing has done regular maintenance on on several of my properties and I have never had an issue with them always get the job done and come rain or shine I can rely on John Not to sure what Judie Barrington was on about must of been a one off as the company has worked in my area Midhurst for several months on numerous houses.

Re: Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - John (28th Sep 2017 - 20:10:25) Hi Its, John here please retract this statement as its incorrect I Was given a £50 tip by Judie, She assessed the work before paying me, I never requested cash, I have also worked for Judie in the past de-mossing her roof which I have also completed several other jobs in her estate and after her brother inspected it he saw a few faults which he wasn’t completely happy with we offered to come back and inspect as due to the bad weather something could of gone a miss if it wasn't for the threats we would of issued a refund or come to an arrangement. I have over 200 testimonials stating my work has been 100%.

Re: Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance - Valerie Thornton (3rd Oct 2017 - 13:08:36) Hampshire's Roofing and Property Maintenance recently put a new roof on an outside Lean To, washed down Fascia and Soffits plus Downpipes and cleared debris from guttering. All involved in the work were polite, efficient and knowledgeable, cleared up the debris and took away old materials. Late one afternoon I notice a small problem, the following morning they were back putting that problem right. Cost was established at beginning of work and payment was made well after work was completed. The job comes with a 10-year guarantee and the knowledge that if anything were to go wrong, they would be back within 24-hours or sooner. The Company has been trading for quite a few years now and has building traditions. At this moment in time, I would have no hesitation recommending this Company to others.
