Volunteer Showroom Assistant - Furniture Helpline (7th Apr 2017 - 09:05:49) We are looking for a volunteer who can help once or twice a week in our furniture showroom. The volunteer or volunteers would: - Check dismantled beds to make sure all the parts are there and ready to go out - Function test electrical appliances (such as washing machines, fridges, TVs etc.) to ensure they are operating well. - PAT test electrical items (training provided) - Check other furniture for small repairs and either alert the Men's Shed or carry out the repairs - Greet visitors to the showroom and offer help or refer them to the office This role would suit somebody who is practical and confident to assemble and perhaps make small repairs. We would welcome a volunteer who could come in once or twice a week for a couple of hours (twice would be better to monitor new items that have been kindly donated).
