New fireplace - liz (9th Mar 2017 - 10:20:08) Can anyone recommend Guildford Fireplaces?

They quoted just shy of £4k for a replacement fireplace and gas fire FYI. Have also tried Smithbrook Fires & Stoves over at Smithbrook Kilns in Godalming. Very helpful. Awaiting quote. I had researched and the same items are available elsewhere for a fraction of the price. I did not see anything in there to persuade me that their products were competitive with other showrooms.

Re: New fireplace - SG (11th Mar 2017 - 17:15:04) We looked local and Guildford Fireplaces, finally after much searching found just what we wanted at www.oakfiresurrounds.co.uk They had very high reviews and didn't disappoint they could not have been more helpful and wouldn't accept payment until it was delivered and we were happy.......they also send out samples too. Happy to email a photo of ours.

Re: New fireplace - liz (17th May 2017 - 15:04:14) Phil Did you follow up with Smithbrook Fires and Stoves? We were pleased with their quote but they want 50% payment in advance which seems a bit steep. Or can anyone else recommend?
