Hi Martin,
Conveyancer and solicitor are one and the same it's just a solicitor that specializes in property law. If you mean a surveyor - to assess the property for value and potential issues then try Peter Roper and sons in guildford. You should get a basic survey free with most mortgages and you should be careful what you are paying for with regards more in depth reports.
