Christmas Lights
- Dick (13th Dec 2004 - 22:32:03)

I can't help but notice that the Christmas lights in the Square have been used for the last umpteen years and they are beginning to look a might dated.

We have had a few extras and i particularly like the lights inthe tree on the corner of the Longmoor Road.

I think it would make the square look a lot more attractive if all of the small trees were decorated like that.

More and more people are putting up lights outside their houses (some good, some tacky) but it would be nice to see Liphook completely lit up, maybe attract some tourists and who knows trade might increase in the Village...

Just a thought..

Oh yeah because that wouldn't be tacky would it. Goodness me, you accuse certain houses of being tacky because of the lights they have and then you suggest we illuminate the whole bloody village!!!

Sir, are you coming or going?!

Dick,
Good job you only mentioned about the Xmas lights, anything serious and Mr.Fisher would really be upset.

Henry..

I take it you have the tacky lights then...

Look we have Liphook in Bloom so why not "Liphook in Lights"

I live in Ludshott manor so no we don't. Liphook in bloom, Liphook in lights, what next? Liphook in s***?

Bah! Humbug & Victor Meldrew spring to mind here on this thread.
Don't rise to the bait Dick.
Good suggestion though, have you heard they have now got cars and BBC 2 up at Ludshott Manor!

oh!! Ludshott manor you say, so does that make you a ghost, a monk (because your obviously not a nun) or just one of those rich newbies????????

Re: Christmas Lights
- Dick (15th Dec 2004 - 22:34:21)

Steve..

No they don't have BBC2 because they obviously don't have electricity, that's why "HUMBUG" is winging about the lights, he can't put any up !!

Henry... Light a candle for Christmas and give the staff a day off on the 25th.......

As sad as it sounds, i'm quite seduced by the idea of 'Liphook in lights'....

Must be better than the town of Diss in Norfolk, who last year were labelled the 'most miserly town in the UK' for raising a single £5 donation for xmas lights. I got that one in the neck as its also where Mrs Cameron comes from :)

Shame on all of you!!! I ama respectable citizen and a sensible user of this talkback facility, and all you do is mock my ideas? I'm intitled to an opinion just like the rest of you and therefore should not be bullied for submitting one. I wouldn't dream of mocking where one of you lives or what any of your opinions are.

Merry christmas my backside

Good on ya. You tell 'em.

Erm, what was your idea again?

I was just wondering why anyone here was actually claiming to be living in Ludshott Manor, I suppose you could be, but if you are, could you make yourself known so that I can remove you, afterall, the manor has been a construction site for a good 18 months now, I should know, I'm managing the project.
There are only 2 people living at the manor and they are my two first occupants, they moved in just after Xmas
