Kids' sef-defence classes - Barbara (4th Sep 2010 - 13:27:09) Hi. Does anyone know of any local self-defence/martial arts/yoga classes for kids (or ideally where kids and parents can join in together)? The ones I can find locally all seem to involve a trip up or down the A3 at rush hour.....not a pleasant prospect! Thanks!

Re: Kids' sef-defence classes - JBarnett (30th Dec 2010 - 13:33:56) Hi, Could you please tell me how much DTFK is charging per session now? I used to Kickbox with them, but had to leave and now looking to get back into it. Have heard that he now charges monthly and has got quite expensive?

Re: Kids' sef-defence classes - Dawn Hoskins (31st Dec 2010 - 14:01:24) I will double check with him, but this is what I remember. Classes are 1 and a half hours for about £7 which I think is about £4.50 an hour. The monthly rate is less, but then you run the risk of missing a class which you have paid for in advance - so if you have an injury prone child (like us) that may not work out the most economical way. The first class is free Classes are on Monday evenings at Bohunt and Thursdays at The Grange (Midhurst). The classes are quite strict so are excellent for teaching discipline in all areas. I would suggest you look at their website to check the prices etcetera. I would heartily recommend them as an inclusive, friendly and welcoming group for men, women or children.

Re: Kids' sef-defence classes - A (7th Jan 2011 - 00:40:08) Hi. There is also a Judo club on a Saturday morning at Bohunt and the guys name who takes it is called Russ. He's a nice guy and very helpful.
