Talk Talk / Tiscali Problems

Hi there, Any fellow Talk Talk or Tiscali customers out there that have had problems with their phone line since the work they did on the exchange on Fri? I have no working phone line but the call centre are being v unhelpful and have advised me that there's no problem their end!! Anyone else experiencing problems?

Have not had that problem but I have had other problems with them -they approached me by phone to get a cheaper package which I agreed to, when I phoned up asking when this would happen, the reply was oh we cannot go ahead with this, you must reapply to bt for your line and we will cut your phone line off, I had never heard anything so ridiculous so I am stuck, paying over the odds or have my phone cut off! wonderful service!

No problems with my phone or broadband but I would say they are not very good, speed is a long way off the 8mb I pay for. I just with BT would upgrade our exchange so we can save some money it was due a few years ok but good old BT have put it off.

Hi Gemma,
I came back from holiday on 19 August and had lots of problems with Talk Talk internet connection. Two phone calls later and they were still saying not their problem. Finally I got my teenage son involved to speak to them and they agreed that it was a fault their end - they needed to re-set our password, following the switch of broadband package to faster speed.
We are now OK - but I would persist - it is Talk Talk's fault!

Interesting thread.
I had major problems with my broadband which ultimately seemed to relate to an ADSL password issue. The system no longer recognised my account.
Finally sorted after I threatened to change supplier!
Only remaining issue is loss of caller identity. Hepline initially said this was corrupted software at exchange but problem persists after 3 weeks so I will need to chase them again.
