Who owns liphook cars?? - Julie Clark!! (8th Nov 2016 - 18:02:41) Who's the man who owns the local taxi company called liphook cars?? He is skating on thin ice. My 18 year old niece won't be using this company again due to his innuendos and behaviour towards her, he drives a blue BMW not sure on the model. Many thanks Julie Clark

However am I alone with feeling a sense of unease about unproven allegations like this being made on social websites? There is no burden of proof, guilt is assumed and potentially, lives and relationships wrecked and livelihoods ruined. The internet seems to have destroyed the concept of innocent until PROVEN guilty, anyone can throw mud at anyone else on this site and a lot of it sticks. This allegation may be true, however WE JUST DON'T KNOW, It could also have been made by an aggrieved individual with a grudge or competitor trying to cause mischief, WE JUST DON'T KNOW! Although I have posted anon I can assure you I have absolutely no connections with this firm or any other taxi firms in the area, I am just a local, concerned at how many local businesses recently have been subject to unproven allegations on Talkback which if untrue, must be extremely damaging. In no way do I intend to be dismissive of the offences if they did occur, I am just uncomfortable of the lack of any proof or evidence

Re: Who owns liphook cars?? - D (11th Nov 2016 - 09:30:09) Julie, you need to report any concerns regarding private hire drivers and their vehicles to the local licencing authority. In this case it will be EHDC at Penns Place, find the details online. If they have had other reports or issues they could suspend if even remove their license but should at least look into the matter and contact the driver.

Re: Who owns liphook cars?? - Anon (11th Nov 2016 - 10:06:09) There is a number of drivers who use the BMW as it's gone in with another taxi company. Have you rung the taxi firm to find out what driver it was and put you concern in? Putting it all over here is not the place for it
