Fish & Chips
- Matt F (22nd Sep 2016 20:54:59)
Hi, just wondering which chippy people of Liphook prefer, the one down Headley Road opposite the Co-Op, or the one near the station??

Agree with Steve - we always head to Grayshott, don't rate the Liphook ones at all.

I think the Station Road one is very underrated. You have to wait for the fish but it's freshly cooked every time and the chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Portion sizes have definitely reduced lately though.
I have never enjoyed the Headley Road chippy, sorry.
Grayshott is good. But it's not significantly better than Station Road.
Just my opinion though.

Grayshott is the best
the station Rd one, try and find the fish inside the batter, the Headley Rd one is so hit and miss 🙁
grayshott or bordon frankies are the best, it's just like chalk and cheese. And you can eat in at grayshott also they do gluten free fish. You can have the fish cooked with out batter if you want. Staff great food brilliant!!!!!

Try Atlantis in Whitehill and if you spend a certain amount they deliver for a small charge £1:00 so it's not worth getting the car out and driving.
They also have a very large menu.
Good luck.

Hi, To me a short ride to grayshott it is the best takeaway I have ever tasted anywhere. You would find it hard to be better in a fine dining place.

Just to throw my two penny worth in, I had fish and chips from Station Road last night and it was delicious, fresh and great value for money as it was a huge portion.
I have been using the Station Road shop for ages and never had a poor meal so I can't see any reason to troll all the way to Grayshott or Bordon when our local chippie is so good. In my opinion.
