Invasion !!
- Lady Hamilton (24th Nov 2004 - 08:53:11)

Dear me!! Has Liphook suddenly been invaded by a tribe of moronic illiterates??

I have never read such a load of pointless drivel in all my life.

One can't but agree with dear Prince Charles - the lower orders should really only be seen (in their proper place) and definitely not be heard or worse published!

I really have to agree with your views on this. Well all of them except the idea of Dear Prince Charles.

We have been overun by illiterate people droning on and on about pointless subjects.

Dear Lady (Questionable use of Title) Hamilton,

I must admit that your post did make me chuckle. To launch such a lame diatribe at your fellow residents is surely a waist of your perfectly manicured fingernails. Bitter is the taist of such nastyness. Better to taste the sweetness of friendly words, especially at such a time of good will. Just one point to note though. If in future you do wish to question the literacy of others, I suggest your possition would be much stronger if your own use of the English language wasn't so suspect. Oh, and I have one final piece of advice to offer to someone who sees herself above the lowly classes. If you are going to refer to HRH, in future, I suggest that you use his full and correct title.
Best wishes for the festive season :)

Mr Frodo

- Lord Nelson (17th Dec 2004 - 10:58:51)

What an extraordinary, unprovoked, outburst against Lady Hamilton! What do you mean by it sir? Perhaps you would like to question my Englishness as well?

I gather from your name that you are a hobitt Mr. Frodo. Not a species either of us are familiar with and if this is an example of hobitt manners, have no wish to be.

I very much hope that you are not a local but perhaps, a tourist come to Liphook to admire the lights. As there are very few this shouldn't take long and you can speedily return from whence you've come. I can't imagine where this could be but I hear there is a large hobitt population in Spain...

Lord (Ehem) Nelson,

If I am not mistaken I did not question LH's Englishness, only her use of the English language, and in doing so merely suggested that she was in no position to make judgement on others around her. When one attacks another they open themselves up to a fair rebuttal.

Your hopes, I am afraid, are to be dashed as we hobbits have been here a long while now. We travelled from the East a long long time ago and will remain in these hills for many seasons to come. We are short of stature as you may know, so it is little wonder that we go by unnoticed. Fear not though, "Sir", as we are a friendly sort and only make ourselves known from time to time.

Once again I bid you Season's greetings.

Be well.

Mr Frodo
