Carnival 2010
- Karen F (14th Jun 2010 - 17:18:06)
Dear All
Carnival night is fast approaching, trust me, it is!! This year we thought it would be really nice to have a local group/club of dancers, singers, actors, musicians ie. generally very talented people, to entertain the crowd in the Square for 20-25 minutes prior to the Carnival procession moving off at 7pm. If you are interested please contact me and we can discuss further!
Many thanks

Step forward Ben Lawrence, who has always been a supporter of the Carnival.
How about a CGITG !

My ears are burning.................
Unfortunately I can't sing, certainly can't dance and I'm not really too hot at balloon animals.
However, if somebody had a band that wanted to play, then I can do a rolling stage.
Just think of the audience you would be plugging your myspace page to.
People know what I do, the idea is there. If someone wants it to happen, give me a call on the usual number (07790 264316)
Cheers
Ben

Hi Karen
Are you planning to do the programme this year? or will it be done by the Herald/messenger group?
Last year it was the latter, their advertising was higher than the normal prices (quite a bit), the distribution did not seem so great, the content was not as people expected.
If I remember correctly, the carnival did not get any revenue from it either?
I may be able to put you in the right direction to finding more advertisers (local) to make it easier for you.
Sue
