Round & About magazine
- Sudha (11th Jun 2010 - 17:07:34)

Hello one and all,
I advertised in the June edition of Round & About magazine which is supposed to be delivered FREE to every household in the area by Royal Mail. The June edition is a new one for Haslemere and villages.Farnham and Godalming have their own.Could you please spare a couple of minutes to feedback ..via this Talkback site.. if you have received one recently and if so which area you live in.
I am slightly dubious if I have been taken for a ride...hopefully not..haven't paid the invoice yet...hoping to get a few responses from you regular visitors!
Sudha.

Hi Sudha

Did get the mag but not sure if you were in it - sorry! It has now been re-cycled so can't check. We live in centre of Liphook near Sainsburys.

Thanks

Hollycombe Close - we got one - straight in the bin though so didn't see your ad - get fed up with all these freebies.

Have just retrieved 'Round & About' magazine from the bin and checked through it twice. No mention of your restaurant although there was an advert in the B.I.G Grayshott pages for the Gurkha Durbar in Headley Road Grayshott.

Thank you to all who have replied so far...just as I dreaded it ...one has been recycled...one did not see the advert as you were probably looking out for the Chautari....I actually advertised the Gurkha Durbar in Grayshott as it is 5 years old this year. There is a 10% off voucher in it if anyone wants to venture up the A3 to Grayshott... and then Geoff...what did you think of the magazine? There is a good article about the Hindhead Together and the new tunnel.
Thank you again,
Sudha.

Thank you so much everyone!
It is interesting how we all respond to these "freebies"..yes, agreed that too much junk mail and yet more trees down but the businesses have to do something to survive the recession so we pay to advertise...in the hope that we increase the footfall.
I shall tell Vantage publishing that not all the 52,317 local homes have received the June's copy of the R&A magazine around Liphook.
I am committed to advertising for a 3 month period.....hope you will receive a copy by then and also hope that this will make a difference to the business..certainly in Grayshott.
PS
For those who were not aware the Gurkha Durbar in Grayshott was my husband's plan when he retired from the Army.....the Chautari in Liphook is the sister restaurant...my retirement plan when I stop nursing!

I hope some of you have received the August issue of the Round & About magazine in the area.

If you look at page no:17, there is a "money off" voucher which can be used towards your meal in the Gurkha Chautari Restaurant in Station Road.

Look forward to welcoming you!

Hi Sudha

How do I get hold of this magazine because my husband and I are going to be bringing 2 friends to the restaurant for a meal in a couple of weeks?

Many thanks

Anne

Anne,

I could always dig my copy out of the recycling bin for you...if that's of any help :)

Re: Round & About magazine
- Anne (5th Aug 2010 - 13:37:20)

Thank you Eneida, I would really appreciate it. Let me know, via the editor, where you live so I can pick it up from you, or we could meet somewhere in the village.

Anne

Ladies,
Where do you live?
I shall get in touch with Marcus from the R & A magazine and let him know that you are NOT getting your copy!
There are a few spare copies in the restaurant...just pop in and collect a copy...see you soon!
Sudha.
