I popped over to Country Market today and I'm glad to say that things look good (apart from the building that is - what a mess - you can't see the full extent from the road). They have all their plants & compost & other bits and pieces for sale. It felt like it used to many years ago before they expanded - just gardening stuff! I liked it. One thing to note though - they only take cash at the moment - no facilities for card or cheque! Aquatics shop is also open.

Hi All
Yes it did feel like old times when I visited on Saturday, but they have some lovely plants I bagged my self a beautiful Senetti for £4 - it was £12 in Forest Lodge!!!
It was nice to see them starting to get back on track.

Called in today for Aquatics after reading this thread
And it is great to see things starting up again
Maidenhead aquatics are indeed open, albeit on a small scale at the moment as electricity supplies are limited
There are plans for a larger store following rebuilding as well
Here's hoping

We went to Country Gardens in Rake today to get some plants and I was shocked at their prices...so much so that we then went to Country Market and got some lovely things for a very good price.
The trouble was that we carry very little actual cash ever and I'm sure that's why there were hardly any customers there...such a shame!!

Country Market are now accepting credit cards...and they've got a lot more plants too!!

Brilliant! Anyone know if the PYO strawberries are ready yet? I went passed on thursday, but saw no signs.
