See also this thread from 2007.
From wikipedia.org/...
"On 29th April 2010, it was announced that Delta Radio will co-locate and merge with Kestrel FM in Basingstoke and share programming apart from the Weekday Breakfast Show, ending 20 years of Wey Valley Radio / Delta FM being based in the transmission area"

Also, what happened to Stuart Clark ?
Or am I the only Delta listener in the Village ?
His LinkedIn entry says he was the Station Manager - was he made redundant then ?

Yes. Delta is being ‘Merged’ with Kestrel Radio (except for the breakfast show). The Tindle Group – I believe the same people who run the Herald - own both stations and this is a cost cutting exercise.

On the subject of the now Kestrel Radio - it would be interesting to see if people still listened to it? I kept it up for about 6 wks, but it was so boring and such little news about what was on etc - in particular the 'jam buster line" which I found most helpful just did not cater for us at all. M3 and M25 were covered and many reports for the alton to basingstoke road.
I swithced to Eagle, and found it was in the same format as Kestrel. Quite dull.
On switching back last week to Kestrel, it now has more of a feel to the old Delta, with updates on the A3, A31, A325 etc. More talkative than before. Much better!!
We have always found delta a really good advertising medium, but having spoken to some friends - they no longer listen to it at all.
I was wondering if Kestrel has a strong audience like Delta did?
Thanks

The new online station Delta Local Radio www.deltalocalradio.co.uk is up and running now.
The content is local and the audience is building.
It is being run by local people too, including several former Delta presenters. Because kestrel has the FM licence, DLR is online only for now, but give it a try and feedback your comments to studio@deltalocalradio.co.uk
