Quiz night in village on Sat 22nd May
- Tracey Hancock (2nd May 2010 - 17:58:30)

Hi,everyone

Our 14 year old daughter Emily is travelling to Romania this summer to do some charity work in a kindergarten in northern Romania and also to do some trekking as part of an expedition. You may have seen her at the recent producers' markets selling her cards and crafts.

She is organising a quiz night to raise the last part of the funds needed, on Saturday 22nd May at the Catholic church hall on Headley Road.

Tables are available for up to 8, and children over 10 are welcome with their parents, at a cost of £7.50 per head including supper. Entries by team or individually are welcome, first come first served as numbers are limited.

If you would like to support her in this, please reply to me on this thread and I will email you further details.

Many thanks

Tracey Hancock

PS - before anyone asks, yes we are also supporting the Carnival quiz the week before!

Sounds great! Another quiz night! We'd like a full table and think we can get there this time! Please send info.;
Looking forward to it,
Terry, Eric and Claire
PS Is it too late to get one of Emily's cards?

Hi, Sudha and Helen,

Yes the evening went very well, and we would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support! Especially to our raffle sponsors including you, Sudha, from the Gurkha Chautari, and also The Links, Langrish House Hotel and the others who provided various prizes.

The hall was packed out and Shaun provided a really entertaining evening so thank you to Shaun as well!

I raised just over £250 profit from the evening, and so I have now just about reached my target amount. I am training hard for the expedition and looking forward to working in the kindergarten in Bistrita.

Thank you all again!

Emily Hancock
