Wild Black Rabbit ????
- Chris (19th Apr 2010 - 10:05:42)

I saw a black rabbit, sat happily munching away, on the grass verge opposite the houses at the end of Hollywater Road this morning on my way into work !! Just as you come over the brow of the hill. It was about 5 minutes to 9. I'm sure I have seen it before. Was this just my imagination or has someone actually lost a pet rabbit clever enough to cross the road?

Hi

If you have ever walked on the ranges (the rear of where you saw this rabbit), and in particular the Whitehill end - you would see black rabbits galore!!

They have been there for many years, and the old Whitehill club Bowls flag had a red Maple leaf with a black rabbit in the centre.

Did you hear about the black rabbit waiting to cross the road? ;chicken walked past and said "would'nt bother, mate, you'll never hear the end of it!

Thank you for your information Sue, very interesting. Perhaps I can talk my partner into coming for a walk on the ranges to have a 'look see' for myself?? Nice one Max, your joke made me chuckle :-D
