Country Market
- Sharon (15th Apr 2010 - 18:43:31)

Probably a bit early, but does anyone know what Country Market are intending to do? I see the Car Boot Dales are still happening, and the greenhouses are still functioning, and the crops are still growing. Marquee in the field?

This is a snippet from the Country Market website: (basically saying for now a small shop and re-build by Dec 2010).

Understandably, the concern & main question for many is what will happen to Country Market. With this in mind, it's important to remember that we are still a working farm and a working plant nursery. Thankfully again, both these areas suffered minimal damage from the fire and continue to grow. Car boot sales & Pick your Own should also be largely uneffected and will continue as normal with the next car boot sale on 11th April 2010 and Pick your Own available in the summer months. At present the shops & cafe are understandably closed but it is our intention, with the support of the authorities, to resume business as soon as possible and restore some stability back into the community. So, in the immediate short term we will be offering a temporary shop albeit with a reduced range and even potentially a small cafe area. There will also be an aquatics centre from Maidenhead Aquatics. These developments may take a few weeks but we'd love to keep you informed. For updates please email us at gu359lw@countrymarket.co.uk or check our website.

Long term, we will rebuild & at this stage the ambition is to be fully restored by December 2010.
