The Tussauds Project
- Conford Lover (4th Nov 2004 - 12:11:38)
It is about time we started looking at this positively. Whenever large concerns wish to build in an area, they generally get their own way. My take on this situation is that we should embrace the change and make sure we get the best out of it for the local people. In many such cases, local people are so busy opposing these inevitable changes that they miss opportunities to make the best of the situation.

Sorry but you can't be serious. How can a huge theme park with all the extra traffic, noise, polution and masses of people loitering around Liphook do anything other than cause grief. Ok so businesses in the area may make more.
The losers as usual will be the people that live here.

If the Tussauds Group have applied for planning permission presumably it will be registered on the EHDC
website. I've had a brief look and can't find it.
Perhaps Ms Gregory can give us the application No. so we can all look at it, instead of going around in circles.

Conford Lover, are you Mr Rory Addlesthrop the retired hoaxer?
If not you are talking through your hat. People oppose things because they don't want them and something like this would not be wanted. Perhaps in 20 years time when the area has got loads more buildings and things that nobody ever wanted we will all look back and regret not taking more direct action to oppose their construction, just like the people of Alton and Thorpe villages!
