Swimming pool for dogs. - Dawn Hoskins (26th Mar 2010 - 12:32:06) I have just discovered that there is a hydrotherapy center in Portsmouth. they do regular 'fun' swims for dogs, plus treatments for dogs with joint pains etc. My old boy is recovering from cancer and it has left him weak and tired. It is Greyfriars at Puttenham just off the Hogs Back (www.greyfriarsrehab.co.uk/ is their website). They have a lovely pool and treat all dogs, either those injured or following surgery. They also have fun sessions for dogs and their owners can go in the pool with them if they feel so inclined. Both our dogs had major orthopaedic ops and the swimming certainly speeded up their recovery. I hope your dog benefits from whichever pool you use Dawn.
