At Firhill Kennels they have the most adorable black Labrador. He is young - about 18 months. Great behaviour, knows all his commands and has good recall.
He is called 'Buddy'
I hope that any of you considering a new dog will go to see him.

I haven't heard of Firhills (not been in Liphook long) where is it? Do they have rescue dogs or is he a one off?

The Kennel is along Hollywater Road on the way to Bordon / Whitehill, just after the plant hire place.
They have loads of dogs (and cats) for re-homing. These are usually found homes by charities like Labrador lifeline and Rescue Remedies. they make you fill in forms and possibly have a house/garden check before you can take a dog. they have websites as well I think.
They are always after 'walkers' for the dogs as well.
Firhill are open to the public to come and look around every day except Tuesday - so if you are interested, I hope you will come and have a look. As of today there are a couple of Jack-Russelsm two collies and two black labs plus a couple of Heinz 57's that need a home. Also a couple of Big floppy eared rabbits and some cats.
It is a mess at the minute as the business next door that makes Sheds etc is moving sheds about so the entrance is a bit muddy & parked up - but apart from that everything is lovely there.

Buddy went to a lovely new home yesterday.
We had 6 rabbits brought in that were due to be destroyed and also rescued 5 young dogs from Croydon were they were to be put down (simply because they had been at the pound for the allotted 4 months without someone wanting them).
We are all having great fun playing with the new young ones - but all need new homes.
