Liphook Utd FC
- Jeremy S (14th Mar 2010 - 18:33:48)
Having been involved in local football,Fernhurst and Haslemere,
I must say being part of Liphook Utd for the last 3 years has been a fantastic pleasure.
I now have 2 children playing football for the club, what a great education for them,so pleased they are not wasting their lives on a Playstation or a Xbox 360,there is much more to life than playing with the latest electronic gizmo!
All through the club there are good people, and all they want to see is the youth of the village playing football.
So come on parent's, support the club, and bring your kids along, much better to do sport, than allow them to become Zombie's,this football club is really worth getting involved with, glad l did!

Hi Jeremy
When do the team train? I would love to bring my son(s) along to get involved. However, if they are not natural footballers (!) will they still be made to feel welcome? I understand several members of the team are decent players and already my son has been made to feel pretty crap by a few of them at school when they flatly told him he was not good enough to play for a team - not a great confidence booster and comments like that have left him in tears telling me he is rubbish at everything...
As far as I am concerned sport should be for all and as you rightly say, it is about getting out there enjoying the exercise and taking part, just hope that he won't be made to feel as though he is in the 'oh well he turned up for training pile' as there is nothing worse than feeling you need not have bothered!
Cheers!
