Wood Burning Stoves
- Lizzie (14th Feb 2016 - 21:59:04)

We're thinking about replacing our open fire with a wood burning stove. Need some advice, don't want to be ripped off, obviously. So, again, any recommendations? If so, please E Mail me lizzzcornish@aol.com. Thanks. (Got to do the ecitor's sum now!)

Hi Lizzie,
Tried emailing you but it bounced back..
You may want to try Waverley Wood Stoves. They have space at our factory but they also have a shop in Haslemere, in Junction Place, where you can pop in.

Their contact details are:
Phone: 01428 480060
Mobile: 07792 576737
Email: info@waverleywoodstoves.com

They are lovely and it's worth giving them a call, they can help you - even if it's just advice.
x

Hi there. We used The Stove House in Midhurst last summer and I have to say that their service was amazing and the total price for the stove, liner and fitting was far cheaper than anticipated, which doesn't happen often these days.

The fitter was faultless and he left our living room cleaner than he found it!

I can't recommend them highly enough.

I personally would buy both items from the internet myself and ask a chimney sweep to install them, or a suitably experienced builder. The price of a stove online from a supplier is about half of that charged by buying from a shop. Choose the one you want first from the showroom then google it. Jotul are a good make.

Hi, I would highly recommend Farnham Stoves, very efficient and very professional.
The whole experience from introduction through to fitting was very professional in my opinion

Hi
I can highly recommend Waverley wood Stoves, in Haslemere, we had a stove fitted by Conan a couple of years ago, in our summerhouse.

Fab Lad, honest & reliable, and cheaper compared to Inwood Stoves in Liphook

Hope this helps

Focus stoves in Fourmarks are pretty good also. Make sure any installer you use is HETAS registered. Avoid the guy in the village at all costs, he absolutely ruined our ceiling and installed a chimney flue that was deemed by HETAS to be a fire hazard, he then refused to rectify any of the problems.

Thanks so much SC, h, BobtheBuilder!, Gina and Fez for your very much appreciated advice. Liz.
