Smart new Italian
- LippyChick (24th Oct 2004 - 20:35:45)
Nononononoooo I don't mean a flashy sports coupe or the like. Following the sad demise of Le Grand Anglais I stuck my head in the door of Bibi Ana's for lunch last Thursday.
For those dismayed at the huge menu at the Hungry Horse (that strangely all seems to taste the same) I would like to commend this attractive looking restaurant.
The new owners have opened up the back room and it looks delightful. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the food delicious! I was also interested to hear that if an adult is eating a main course, children can eat there for free.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and the owner himself very keen to meet and greet his diners, welcoming feedback.
I did have my reservations before hand, but would wholeheartedly recommend Bibi Ana's. Dare I suggest, just what Liphook needs?

My mum recently visited, saying the food was, quote, "fantastic". A stone's throw away from Chateau Cameron, so i might give it a whirl myself...

Enjoyed dinner at Bibi Ana's last Saturday with multiple bottles of very drinkable red as part of a table of eight.
Food well cooked and served by helpful staff who were unfased by the fact that all other tables were occupied.
I can thoroughly reccommend this restaurant and hope that it continues to thrive.

We had Sunday lunch a few weeks ago at Bibi Ana's and can say that the food was excellent. The atmosphere and decor in the cafe/restaurant is superb and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I am so glad that Liphook now has a fine place to eat and to take family and friends to. Having lived in the village for 24 years, the only place we have found worth visiting is The Links! Bibi Ana's far surpasses The Links in every way - especially the quality of the food and presentation - the prices are roughly the same though! Also, I understand that it is a non-smoking venue which is great if you are taking the children along or if you are an ardent non-smoker like myself!!
Anyway, I cannot recommend it enough, so if you haven't had a meal there yet, do please go along and give it a go and then post your opinions on this site!!

Had a informal business lunch in there a couple of weeks back and was very impressed at the service and the food.
Great place to go for a few quite drinks and a light meal.

i agree. what a fantastic restaurant. dont eat at the (w)anchor [as i have read previously] it is all microwaved rubbish, which is slapped on a plate by a chav chef.
go somewhere respectable like the links, or deers hut.
also avoid the green dragon, that is a no no.

I managed a coffee on a Sunday afternoon, resisting my mum's obsession with the place. By all accounts it seems to be doing very well, which is proving my predictions quite wrong. Excellent stuff. How much do we know about the owners?

A quick hello from Digby and Desi at Bibi Ana's just to say thank you very much for your continued support and fantastic feedback since we opened.
Can we just say that although we have Italian dishes on our menu we are an International restaurant with a mediterranean influence.
Once again, thank you for all your support.
Digby, Desi and all the staff at Bibi Ana's would like to wish all our customers a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Don't know if you took me up on the suggestion to check the site, but good to see you on the board. The tea and toast we had last Sunday was superb - excellent stuff.
