Running Club - MH (18th Nov 2015 - 11:14:09) Is there a running club in Liphook? Recently moved to the area and need motivation through the dark winter months as preparing for the Fleet half. Amateur standard i.e 50 minute 10k, 1.55 half

Re: Running Club - Barney (18th Nov 2015 - 15:17:39) I have seen groups meeting to run at the devils punch bowl at weekends so am sure there are some around. Also for general fitness you could try www.surreyfitnesscentres.co.uk I have been going for a couple of years and they are a really friendly bunch who have helped me achieve and set new fitness goals. Worth noting they offer a 2 week free trial so you can see if it is for you or not and the only investment is your time. ...and no I don't work for them :-)

Avoid number of male and female runners in Liphook including some of the coaches are members of Haslemere Border A C, www.hbac.co.uk Although based in Haslemere Saturday\'s run is at the Punchbowl in Hindhead and Tuesday and Thursday are scattered around Grayshott, Haslemere and Liphook. Members often organise other runs and we will share lifts to events. It\'s a sociable club with a range of abilities from absolute beginners right through to highly competitive runners. Do come along and introduce yourself you won't regret it. If you're interested in triathlon at all the club also has a growing group of triathletes with swimming at Haslemere Leisure Centre and regular group rides including spinning/turbo sessions in the winter (Wednesday's)

Re: Running Club - Angie (18th Nov 2015 - 20:23:42) I'm a member of Liss Runners and have been with club past 18 years on and off. Very welcoming and friendly club. Based at Triangle Centre, Liss on Wednesdays 7-8pm training session and Sunday runs 8:30 or 9:30 am 6 or 10 miles, Thursday social run from Waitrose Car Park, Petersfield 7-8pm. Check their website for membership but very reasonable in comparison to Haslemere Borders ;-) . Active at local Saturday Park runs too. Good luck with your running!
