dogs mess

as a resident of Tower Road, please, may i request that if you walk your dogs up the road have the decency to clear up behind them. I don't know what the other side roads in Liphhok are like for mess, but ours is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a dog owner and I am disgusted by the lack of thought some owners give to the community as a whole. I am on a mission to catch a particular owner who seems to think the recreation ground is a dog toilet and thus do not need to 'scoop'.

I never walk my dog without a few 'poop' bags in my pocket and to be honest I am currently picking up a lot more of other dogs faeces than I am that of my own dog!

The really worrying thing is , if owners are too selfish or too stupid to clean up after their animals then they are probably also the ignorant owners who fail to worm their animals and pose a huge health risk.

I hope you catch whoever is allowing their animal to do this.

Hi
Completely agree. There's information about reporting and dealing with the reporting towards the end of this post.

thank you for your help in this matter, I have contact the EHDC by email and I am awaiting a reply. They have a special dog warden dept. so maybe if I keep on long enough they will venture as far out as Liphook

Well I have had my reply, practically immediately from EHDC dog warden, they are too busy to patrol, and if they do they never catch anyone!!

They rely on local residents to act as wardens, he says tell the person if you see one not to let the dog foul the pavement, I replied I would do this if he would take responsibility if I get a punch on the nose!!

OR get the person name and address and pass it to them at EHDC, if the person has been advised before they MAY take them to court, or if not they will write and advise them that it is against the law to let dogs foul pavements.

Well that was an achievement!!!!!!!!

Sorry....I know it's not funny...but I couldn't help laughing at the reply you got from EHDC!!

I can just imagine the reaction you'd get from a dog owner irresponsible enough to let their dog foul the pavement, without clearing it up, when you asked 'May I have your name and address so I can report you to the Dog Warden'....not only a punch in the nose, but probably a brick through the window too....priceless :D
