Shop deliveries?
- Sharon (7th Jan 2010 - 10:20:37)

Have Sainsburys or Co-op had deliveries today (thu)? I'm wondering whether to venture over to replenish supplies - a lot of effort will be wasted if the shelves are bare!

So, conflicting answers !

I suggest you call them (01428) 723124 to confirm stock situation before you go.

Back from Sainsburys an hour ago and they had plenty of supplies...milk, bread, fresh meat etc.

They did have a power cut at the time but the generators came on and all was well after a few minutes!

Just been up and stocked everybody up, Sainsbury's have plenty but the tanker is now stuck on the roundabout.
Take care though the roads are still bad.

as soon as i found out sainsburys had a delivery i sent my daughter over and she managed to get the last 4 pints of green top milk on the shelves. garage had none. only a few red top and a few blue but as soon as a crate of blue top was brought out people werre getting them. good luck in getting some and phone to check before venturing out.

Went shopping around 3.30 and the shelves were all full, another lorry was arriving as we left. Lots of fresh flowers available if you want a bit of colour.

Thanks everyone, I managed to get the car out and got some milk & bread! I'm glad Sainsbury's have cleared their car park - they haven't bothered on previous snowy occassions!

glad people getting supplies, i sent my daughter to get me some pepsi bout an hr ago but stock was low on shelves for milk but they may have just been putting some out as they are getting deliveries so i hope everyone can get what they need.

i would like to add that if anyone is stuck in getting out to get milk etc and are near to me (manor fields) i will volunteer my daughter to go to the shop for them. in this event please send contact details

Please allow me a slight variation on the theme.

Newspapers - Our paper boy, who delivers for The Gables, has delivered our paper for the last two days, even though we live on an estate on the fringe of the village and the roads have not been cleared

Congratulations to him.

PASSFIELD STORES

Sue and John are well stocked with everything.
Milk and bread deliveries every day.

Seeing as the B3004 is clear now - I suggest you give them a try.

[editor - trouble is getting out of Liphook by car isn't easy - we still can't get out of our road]

Sainsburys now have had deliveries.

Plenty of stock available.

No need to panic buy supplies at the moment.

Our newsboy has delivered the paper Thursday and Friday and in good time too. Just saw a post van in our road (at the far end of the Berg) but no postmen yet.

- May Li (8th Jan 2010 - 19:00:26)

Thank goodness for deliveries at Sainsburys

Staff of Greenbanks have been stars walking to Sainsburys and bringing back as much bread and milk that they can carry

we have had no deliveries ...................
