Green dragon
- Paul Smith (20th Dec 2009 - 12:41:59)
As usual a good laugh in the dragon until close. I think it is disgraceful to see the staff fighting with members of the public. This is disgraceful behaviour from the staff when members of the public are trying to stop fights in this establishment and are punched consequently. Servng underaged children as well should be noted for the police because i am a regular in the dragon and see children, who look 15 and 16 in there getting served and all of them girls. I shall not drink in there again after the behaviour i saw last night.

- barney (21st Dec 2009 - 14:01:59)
As usual, postings being made without knowing the full facts! Yet again there were youths who had been drinking elsewhere were running up and down the street, in the road etc outside the kebab shop, I went out to move them along as we get so much grief from the website.Returning to the pub, I heard someone running up behind me very fastly' fearing I was going to be attacked' l defended myself, it was all sorted out and handshakes were exchanged.
However, the man involved called his father who subsequently turned up at tha pub after the doors were locked and l'd gone to bed. The father was banging on the back door so hard, fearing he would break the glass, the landlady opened the door, and was assaulted by the said father fracturing two ribs, l was called from my bed to be beaten senseless by this man, l have over 30 stitches, fractured cheek bone, a black eye and bruised ribs.
lf the kebab shop had not been open, this would not have happened as there woul be nowhare for them to congregate.
As for underage drinking, there are 2 girls from the ladies football team who are 16, but are only served soft drinks as the know that we know how old they are. We are very strict on i.d,no i.d. no alcohol, there are signs to this effect displayed behind the bar, as previously stated, we liase closely with the police and always pass test purchases

full facts!! i was there thank you very much and i saw it all!!
now as for you coming to move everyone along, it wasn't exactly like that was it now barney!!/?? you come out effing and blinding calling certain people disgusting names.
And as for some persons dad being called why was that.......it wasn't anything to do with the fact that you had hit this mans son for no reason and no u werent fearing for your life as he charged around the back of the pub because you told him to go round the back and as i do believe u launched yourself at him
so dont go around giving people the old sob story of poor you, fair enough you got beaten up which wasn't the way to go. But you were to be blamed for punching one of your regulars without any reason and as I said before hand it isn't the first time u punched your customers
so as i said in my last comment i shall not be drinkin in there again as i am disgusted with all the behaviour of yourself!!

This Post Has More Fictional Events Then Factual and i know this because i was their and heard and saw everything out the front and the BACK OF THE PUB..
so going to the facts you didnt come out tryin to get every 1 to move on that had come from different places...
because every 1 that was outside apart from maybe 4-5 people had been drinking in the dragon seeing as they'd had a kareoke night.
but when you did come out it wasnt soo much you gettin people to move on it was you coming out effing and blinding callin people obscene names that even to some of "The Youth Of Today", as we get called, would find disgusting.
you didnt walk back to the dragon because u were exchanging words with this person in the door way of the dragon So No Need To Fear For Your Life!!!!! The Doorway that leads to the front and onto the main road.
you were talkin to this person and then quite clearly said go round the back if u wanna sort this out i know this because i was stood in front of u when it was said.
you then went inside the pub and the person started to walk round to the back i could sense a slight amount of hostility in the way that it was said so i followed said person..
at this point i would like to explain how the person involved is a lovely young man that would never dream of showing anyone any kind of violence let it be verbal and definately not physically so when told to go round the back he has done so but with full intentions of talking.
ive followed him round to the back of the pub very closely behind this person when he got to the back door of the pub i had a very clear view of barney cumi outa the pub not saying a word lunging himself forward and attacking this person by punchin him in the mouth which resulted in his mouth beginning to bleed - myself and another person have tried to stop the fight. but still at this point said person was being calm and not striking back.
this is not the first time that mr barnes has assulted sumone that has been drinkin in the pub.
i would also like to say that maybe instead of sayin that other local businesses need to close to stop people congregating around there that maybe u should close earlier.
this incident wouldn't of esculated if mr barnes had not assulted one of the regular members of the public that drink in the dragon frequently for no reason what so ever.

The Solution is quite simple: go and drink at the Links - they don't let under 21s in, it's a long way from town and it's expensive enough that only the very best people can get drunk there. Who wants to fight after a hard day of golfing?
