Rodent problem
- igs (29th Jul 2015 - 09:29:45)

Has anyone else noticed there appears to be a lot of rats about the village at the moment. I've recently seen on numerous times by the layby near Bohunt and also scurrying across the road by the Rec and on the Portsmouth Road

Disturbed by the house building no doubt. There was the same problem when Sainsbury's and the associated housing estates were built.

Could it be that this problem is not entirely unconnected with Mr Cameron's seagull problem?

Much of the litter that is dropped in the village comprises of partly consumed food. Is it any wonder that we are plagued with rats with such largesse littering our pavements.

Get a Ferret and the rats will disappear.

i agree it is mainly down to all the house building happening in liphook and the amount of litter...

did you know...
It is estimated to be over 80 million brown rats in this country, which is about 8 rats per person per household. The reason why the rat has a price on its head is the nasty diseases it carry’s and spreads to the other animals and humans can catch some are fatal to both.

lovely animal...
