Food in Green Dragon
- John Munt (18th Jul 2015 - 20:50:37)

Me and my wife had a dinner last night in the green dragon. Food was perfect. They welcomed us in a warm and clean environment. The greek cuisine is completelly different to the other venues we got in the area, and is gently presented and served and the prices are in my honest opinion low for the amount of food we got. On top of that, we got a further 10% off with the voucher. We are definatelly go back again and i recommend it.

Please can you tell me how and where I can get the vouchers from ????
Many thanks

Sounds as though you were not served a disgusting bottle of "wine" at the cost of £10 which turns out to be some 5.5pc vile sugary pretend wine. Someone clearly went to cash and carry to stock up and probably though they had a bargain paying about£1 for it. When you complain about it you are refused a refund or exchange, forced to put up with it. I do not wish the dragon to go under, but I cannot support any business that actively and knowingly rips it customers off.

Not being a wine drinker, I wouldn't know for absolute certain, but I imagine one man's bottle of vinegar is another man's elixir of the gods...Could this be the moral here?

I got them from a friend of mine who drinks there often. I like good food and he suggested me to try it. They have plenty in the pub so you might want to pop in and get some. As i was told the offer will last more than a month.

Im not that into wine, so i had a pint of lager. I dont know if they do cheap wine there. Wife had water.

We spent sank like 25 quid which is very good for 2 including the drink, unlike the other pubs in liphook which serve frozen food, where i usually spend 35-40 pounds

I think it is always worth trying once at least as at least if more people go in there to eat, then possibly the die hard drunks who make trouble in the Green Dragon will stay away.
Some pubs do not serve good wine. The two in Liphook who do are the Links and Deers Hut. The answer is drink something else!

I had a meal in a pub in Emsworth yesterday and as the OP says the price was roughly 35-40 for 2 people, and the wine was horrible!
