Guitar tuition - Sarah (15th Jul 2015 - 21:18:19) Dear Liphook Gurus, You have got me home from the airport and sorted my gutters out, now I need your help to become a rock star!!! At the grand old age of ** I am looking to get some guitar lessons... ideally the tutor will be local, will make me play like Eric Clapton and rock like Dave Grohl in his plaster cast on his throne after my very first lesson!! I'm only asking for the impossible, I know!!! Realistically, I'd love to find someone who can teach me the electric guitar, primarily rock based (thinking Nirvana, Foo Fighters, QOTSA... actually anything with Dave Grohl!!), but happy to be flexible on this if there are some fundamental basics. What I don't want to do is spend hours upon hours strumming chords (i.e interested in practice rather than the theory, this is for fun!). I will probably also need someone who is patient and not adverse to the odd swear word when I get things wrong (aimed at me not the tutor!!). Any thoughts or recommendations... I was thinking the ACMin Guildford, but would much prefer to keep my cash local if I can find the right person, Thanks in advance Sarah

Re: Guitar tuition - L (16th Jul 2015 - 00:28:19) Benjamin Ellis is a very recommended guy! He didn't hang about at all, and I learnt some awesome stuff with him. He teaches in Liphook and if I remember right, you get a first lesson/ taster lesson free. He has his own website so just Google his name and check him out. Hope this helps!
