Fly Tipping?
- Chris Adamson (11th Dec 2009 - 09:08:34)

I was driving down the Headley Road, on my way to work this morning, and as I got to the left hand turning for Conford noticed a pile of rubbish half on the verge and half on the road. It looked like there was a discarded fridge or washing machine amongst other items. I am disgusted that some idiot would want to abuse the beautiful country setting that we have the privilege of living in. I have been informed by a colleague that the Police were arriving just as he passed on his way in to work. I hope they catch the morons and throw the book at them. The local dump is only about 10 minutes away.

[editor - the problem is that people in any commercial vehicle have to pay to use the dump. Fly tipping is illegal, but free]

Could the same person be responsible for fly tipping a load of used car tyres at the Liphook south junction off the A3?

I am told there are companies that will take used tyres but at about £1.50 a tyre

Hey ho

I would definately say that is a likely, possibility, lets hope the culprit(S) are caught sooner rather than later.
